Work Placements at Green Media
Green Media have a number of 12 month work placements available for students wishing to undertake work based learning as part of their course.
These placements are a valuable way of gaining real world experience and provide a real advantage when it come to entering the jobs market after graduation.

Position: Web Copywriter / Content Developer
This role involves writing copy, blog entries, social media messages, articles and web content for a variety of clients across several industry sectors.
Working within a team of copywriters and web developers, the successful candidate will be required to quickly understand the specific needs of individual clients and create original written content to meet those requirements in short timescales.
The position also involves working on online marketing and search engine optimisation campaigns.
Although the placement will involve training within the team, the successful candidate must have strong written English skills, the ability to confidently adapt their writing style depending on purpose, good communication abilities and a basic understanding of web copy fundamentals.

This role involves designing, building and maintaining websites that are, in the main, created with PHP and MySQL, search engine optimisation and technical aspects of online marketing.
Working with an existing team of developers the successful candidate will be required to carry out the full range of web development responsibilities to meet briefs provided.
The successful candidate will need an understanding of PHP, MySQL, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. The ability to communicate and work in a team is important and any other web related skills such as SEO or Flash would be an advantage but is not essential.
